Shawn Heiss Guidance Counselor (3rd - 5th) Moss Bluff Elementary (337) 217-4640, ext. 1649 DEGREE - Bachelor's in Psychology (University of Notre Dame), Master's in School Counseling (McNeese State) JOB DESCRIPTION - I work with students in grades 3 - 5. My primary responsibility is the academic and social welfare of our students at MBE. I provide classroom level discussions periodically throughout the year, intervene during crisis situations with students, and give targeted behavior strategies to identified individuals at our school. I also manage student record transfers between schools for new registers/leaving students, coordinate school-wide efforts for standardized testing, and assist with RTI data management and placement for 3rd - 5th grade. OFFICE HOURS - Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
